About Us

The inception of S. V. SCIENCE COLLEGE is the realization of the longing of the people of Saurashtra, for an efficacious centre for Higher Learning. S. V. SCIENCE COLLEGE , started in 2016, has the distinction of being the first Science in Saurashtra region of Gujarat and it provides quality education to the youth so as to enable them to take up the challenges of the morrow.

College started with 30 students in SWAMI VIVEKANAND SANKUL in 2016.

S. V. SCIENCE COLLEGE believes in continuously striving towards excellence and this has propelled it to the forefront in the field of education.

B.SC IN MICROBIOLOGY

Bachelor of Science in Microbiology is a full-time undergraduate program which is of 3-year duration. This course primarily focuses on the microorganisms and their applications in the field of Research. It is an undergraduate degree program recognized by the Govt. of India in the field of Microbiology.

Eligibility for the course is 10+2 or an equivalent examination in a science stream from a recognized board.It is a course mainly for 12th PCB students.
There are so many opportunities after B.sc microbiology.The master courses in this field are of two years. After that you are eligible for m.phill, PhD and also apply for CSIR-ICAR NET and GATE after that you can apply for professor, Research and developer, and scientist. There are also so many scopes after B.sc microbiology like lab assistant, teacher, food microbiology, medical microbiology, environmental microbiology, cellular microbiology and so many.

As a microbiologist you’ll study microorganisms (microbes) in order to understand how they affect our lives and how we can exploit them. You’ll focus on the biology of microorganisms at both the molecular and cellular level, as well as their ecology, including viruses, bacteria, archaea, fungi, algae and protozoa.

Clinical microbiology provides the knowledge and ability to identify oraganisms, their features and how they affect human health, and what antibiotics/vaccines to use against such organism in term of crisis Food microbiology : aid in knowing effects and uses of organism on food. I.even their advantages and disadvantages.

And so many other areas e.g virology, bacterialogy, etc

B.SC IN PHYSICS

Bachelor of Science in Physics is a 3 year undergraduate course, which deals with the nuances of Physics and its various properties. The curriculum is divided into 6 semesters, spanning over three years.

Eligibility for the course is 10+2 or an equivalent examination in a science stream from a recognized board.It is a course mainly for 12th PCB/PCM students.

After completing your BSc Course in Physics, there are many career opportunities open for you, such as research analyst, a teacher, lab assistant etc. But, if you go with further study such as MSc degree, MSc PhD dual degree, Joint MSc PhD courses then you can become a scientist and apply for CSIR NET Exam also.

Physics graduates have skills that are in high demand in diverse sectors. These include skills relating to numeracy, problem-solving, data analysis and the communication of complex ideas, as well as a wider understanding of how the world works on a scientific and human level and BSc in Physics is the only way you have to go through to become a Physicists, may it be a lecturer or professor in Physics at colleges or universities or a scientist in Physics (including astronomers) at some research institution.

B.SC IN CHEMISTRY

Bachelor of science in chemistry is an undergraduate course in chemistry, Which is ideal for the students Who wish to have an in depth knowledge of the subject.the course curriculum deals with various aspects of chemistry including chemical reactions and chemical composition of substances.the course operates in 6 semesters

Apart from the above discussed M.sc course the other options available for B.sc chemistry students are as follows: M.sc Applied chemistry, M.sc General chemistry, M.sc physical chemistry M.sc Inorganic chemistry, M.sc Organic pharmaceutical chemistry, M.sc Environmental chemistry.

The course helps the students in improving their diverse skill in various areas such as laboratory skill, numerical and computing skills, ability to approach to the problems both analytically and logically, time management skills etc. the B.sc chemistry graduate have many options for their higher studies.

B.SC IN MATHS
